Still Spirits Heat Wave

Heat Wave is a great all around yeast that will give you a very clean fermentation. Heat Wave can ferment in temps from 65F to 95F. This is very similar to the Mile Hi 48hr Turbo but formulated to handle the heat. This is the only Turbo Yeast to use when the air temperature is above 33C (91.4F). Heat Wave will ferment 25 litres in 3-5 days up to 15% and 18% in 7 days ABV. This yeast is great for stacking -Heat Wave Turbo is also the only yeast we recommend for ‘stacking’. Up to a 200 litre volume can be fermented using 8 sachets (providing the start liquid temperature and air temperature are both 20C (68F).

Instructions: First, prepare water making sure that it is as close as possible to 40 Degrees Celsius (104 Degrees Fahrenheit)

Adjust temperature if necessary with hot or cold water

Next, adjust water start volume to exactly 21 L (5.5 US Gallons)

Now, add 6 kg (13.2lbs)  of turbo sugar, sucrose, or dextrose and stir well until completely dissolved.

Finally, Add the yeast by sprinkling on the surface of your mash and stir well. Rest lid loosely on the fermenter and leave to ferment between 20-40C (68-104F)

Fermentation will take 2-3 days at 35C (95F)

Important Notice: After your sugar is dissolved, cool to 70-80 Degrees Fahrenheit before adding your yeast. Any temperature 60 Degrees Fahrenheit or lower will cause your yeast to become dormant as well

Instructions will also be labeled on bag of yeast
