Iodine reagent solution is for testing your mash conversion by coloring starches in the grain to indicate if completely converted.

Directions: Add one to two drops of iodine reagent solution to mash. Purple coloring in the mash will indicate starches.

Please note: The solution is not safe to ingest. If solution comes in contact with eyes, flush with water. If ingested, induce vomiting.


Solution is made up of:

Iodine – 1%

Alcohol – 65.5%

Water – 33.5%
