Still Controller 110 Volt with 2000 Watt Element
Still Controller 110 Volt with 2000 Watt Element heating system for boilers up to 13 gallons. Yes, this still controller with 2000 watt stainless element will heat up a 13-gallon boiler in about 2.5 hrs. and will run a 3" diameter tower on the 13-gallon boiler with no problem. 8-gallon heat up time is about 1.5 hours and 3 gallon is about 45 minutes heat up time. This still controller 110 volt allows you to dial in the heat with constant current and without any heat cycling. The stainless 2000 watt immersion heating element clamps into the 2" tri-clamps fittings on Mile Hi Distilling boilers. This allows to be removed for cleaning. Still Controller includes 4ft wire lead with standard 120V 3 prong plug and element housing with 2" tri-clamp ferrule fitting. These controllers have a 1 year warranty. The heating element is a maintenance item and will need to be replaced over time so the elements do not have a warranty. Mile Hi stocks all the parts for the controller so even after the warranty expires you can get replacement parts to repair if need be.

Got this for my 13 gal column still best purchase made. Should have bought one awhile ago. Heats the still up fairly quickly and the heat out put is easily controlled. For anyone using propane like I was ditch it and get a controller you won’t be disappointed

Impressed all around! First with how quickly Mile-Hi shipped this ... and secondly by its performance. Today was the first run ... 53 minutes from room temperature wash to producing low wines. I was previously using a 1,300W hot plate and that would take an hour and 45 minutes! After it started making 'likker', I lowered the power to 50% and it was producing a steady, pencil-lead-thin stream into my stripping jar. My only question ... why didn't I upgrade sooner?!?

Good quality product! Does exactly as described. Make sure your 110v outlet is rated for 20amps! Took about 2+ hours to heat up around 12 gallons of ice cold tap water to (near) boiling - about 200 degrees. Perfect for those that want to make the switch from flames to electric distilling! Much more of a safe option in my opinion and glad I chose Mile High. Don’t hesitate to make the switch, you’ll be glad you did!

This product is amazing. I went from a copper pot still to the 8 gallon Dual Purpose Pro, and heat-up is a snap. With 7 gal. of mash, I set at 1/2 power and the temp rose to the desired setpoint in about 1.25 hours.
The still, as well as the heating element and temp controller are far beyond my expectations.

This thing is AWESOME. I add this to my still order and it was so worth it. it heated the mash up so well. No burning or anything. Clean up was so easy.
The heat element was so fast i think it cut my run time in half.
No adjusting the flame on the gas grill anymore for me.

Currently running an 8gal kettle/pot still with 2" site glass extension that I pack with copper mesh. I switched to a heating element from gas burner due to safety recommendations. I was honestly expecting a more flimsy heating element and oh boy was I pleasantly surprised when I got this. The voltage controller works like a charm and it seems to provide accurate fine tuning of the heat input. Super happy with this package.

Very pleased with the ease and convenience. It never reached the 2000w draw, as it heats up on a setting of about 4 and runs at temp on a setting of about 1 1/2-2. Turns a weekly chore into a pleasant experience. Thanks.

I was wary! Conventional wisdom is that a 13 gallon reflux column is going to want something beyond 110v. But the reviews here convinced me to give it a try and I have to say, if anything their claims are under-stated. It worked, it worked perfectly and with precise control. Worth every penny.

Top rated for customer service, there was a supply issue Mile Hi was experiencing from their supplier of the controller. Jayson was fast in responding to me letting me know there would be a slight delay in shipping the item. The item shipped as promised so kudos to customer support.
Unit has only been used once, but it seems top quality. Sure I could have built a PID controller for about the same price, but just wasn't in the mood to spend the time sourcing all the materials I would need. The Mile HI controller is well made and much more convenient than the do-it-yourself method.

Wanted to get my equipment out of the kitchen and into the garage. Electric strove in the kitchen cycles the element on and off. This thing runs steady so faster production. The video they show on YouTube is accurate. It's easy to make small temp adjustments 1/2 to 1° with a light touch and the results at your discharge are visible in just a few seconds. I can't imagine an easier safer way to work indoors. Was hesitant with the $200 price tag but have no regrets now. The time I have freed up by not having to stay on top of it, as well at it running faster is worth it to me. Great product

I use the 8gallon traditional still with this controller and element for distilling essential oils and it works fantastic. Using 7 gallons of water it takes about 1.5 hours to get the water to boiling, but once it is there you can turn it down a bit and get it right where you want it so easily. If you are looking for an easy to use heat source, this is the one to get!
