Washed it several times until rinse was clear. Used the Milehigh stainless filer column held in place with lab stands. Ran about 5 gallons through it, the first through was incredibly cleaned of all the unwanted taste and smells, by the end of the 5 gallon run started to loose its effeteness but still good enough. I'll clean boil clean it and back in the oven to use it again.
