Description
Hydrometer
Triple scale hydrometer. This hydrometer is a glass bulb that is weighted and floats in a testing jar. The hydrometer will tell you approximately how much alcohol was made in the fermentation process. The scale on the Mile Hi Distilling hydrometers is called a triple scale which gives you three scales. A brix reading, a specific gravity reading, and an approximate potential alcohol reading. Hydrometers will not work in a distilled spirit.

Great tool and works extremely well before, during and after fermentation. It comes with a small chart that gives you the necessary information for temperature correction and potential alcohol by volume. To calculate your alcohol by volume use the formula below.
Specific Gravity – Final Gravity multiply your answer by 131 = ABV%
Expect nothing less than the Best from Mile High put a small ball of copper packing in the bottom of your beaker and it won’t break if you slip and drop it in by mistake.
I have been using this product for a few weeks now and haven’t had any problems.
Well packaged, much nicer than the ones available locally, easy to read.
