Description
Brew Belt
A heating belt used to keep the temperature of your brew up to proper temperature when fermenting in cooler temperatures. These belts normally produce about 20 watts and their position on the bucket or carboy determine the amount of heat is put into your brew. The lower the belt is on the fermenting vessel the more heat is absorbed. The BrewBelt is manufactured and tested in accordance with CSA 22.2 No. 64-M91 and UL 499 standards and is certified for use in the United States and Canada. Instructions included. 120V, 20W Bucket pictured not included.
Quality product
It works great. My wife likes to keep the temp in the house a little lower than the yeast (and I) like, but the heat belt keeps my 6.5-gallon fermenter at fermentation temperature without having to heat the whole house. The heat belt does not have an adjustable rheostat, so I’ve put the heat belt on a timer-switch that turns on and off at intervals of my choosing. I am 100% pleased with the product. It is well worth the 30 bucks for cold-weather fermenting.
Purchased this Belt being winter time. Using a 8.5 Gal Fermentation bucket, it works like a charm. Keep my sugar wash or mash at 79.9F regardless of the outside temp.
It’s a good quality belt. It holds my britches up well and keeps me warm.
