2.5 Gallon Charred Oak Barrel
New 2.5 Gallon Charred Oak Barrel. With the amount of surface area in these barrels, aging for 2-3 months is perfect! 3/4" thick staves and no toxic varnish or sealers just natural wood.
Barrel is drilled for bunghole, and bung is included.
*** Please note the 2.5 gallon barrel does not include a spigot or a spigot hole. If you want a spigot it must be purchased separately. ***

I have gotten 2 barrels from y'all in the past, a 1 and a 2 gallon. They are both filled and will be tapped down the road a bit. Too early to tell how well they'll age the fill but I will let y'all know once I know. I can tell you now though, that the quality of those barrels is VERY good. Filled them with water to remove any debris and to check for leaks. Absolutely watertight. If the 2 three gallons ones I just got are the same quality, they will be fantastic.

I just received the 3 Gallon barrel. Great price with shipping and arrived soon after I ordered. It sealed up right away after filling it with water and then I rinsed it out a couple of times before filling it with clear brandy. No leaks. Now I will have leave it alone for a little while. So far, very happy with the barrel and it looks good with my assorted size wine barrels!

Great barrels, quality product. With the 3 gallon barrels, 6 weeks will produce decent flavor. I have used my barrels 4 times so far.

Great barrel. The barrel is well built for the most part but one of the slats on the end of the barrel was a bit more than a 16" thinner than the rest of the end slats. Seems to work ok and no leaks so far. Only hoping it has no effect in the long term.

Ordered two. Have not used them yet. Still filled with water waiting to be drained and used. But oak aromas are strong.
These are real oak barrels. Thick staves... not those thin scraps from used barrels... the type most small barrels are made out of.
This is a quality product!

Got the 1 gallon, no leaks except the spigot tends to drip a bit.. kinda resolved itself, so it works fine. filled with everclear after putting sherry in the barrel for a week or so, 3 weeks later, I got whiskey that is comparable to my Macallan 25 year old scotch.. wow.. (its almost gone) will be getting another one.. Ran second run, takes a bit longer the second run, that run came out great.. third run loaded.. waiting till newyears.. added some honey and a vanilla bean to this one.. should be interesting.. anyway, barrel is great.. now if we could get a stand.. Hint Hint..

These barrels are great. They are high quality and after ageing for a year, friends say that it is the best bourbon they have ever had. I have to agree, it is very good and very smooth.
