I bought this with the 120 volt 2000W heater and controller…couldn’t be more satisfied! I have run about ten batches of lavender through it so far and it is easy to set up and clean. The essential oil yield and quality is very good. the 2000W heater is more than enough to get the water boiling (about 4 gallons) in about 30 minutes. With the excellent craftsmanship and high quality materials used for construction it will last a lifetime. Shipping, packaging and customer service were excellent.

The Lavender Egg
My first attempt at distilling essential oils. Ultimately bought for distilling lavender, but performed a test run with wild sagebrush. The equipment worked perfectly. The essential oil basket holds a substantial amount of plant material, more than I expected. Very well built, sturdy, with all supplies needed except a separating flask (which I did not expect). The distiller is sturdy and expect it to last a lifetime. Shipping was timely. Thank you mile hi distilling, very good product. I will be back for more!
Solid and simple.
I bought this to be a dedicated cinnamon bark processor. Setup and breakdown are simple and intuitive. For it’s maiden run, I ran 25 pounds of cinnamon bark in 3 days – and it was pleasantly easy.
I use a 208 volt 2500 watt 2″ TriClover element and that is more than enough power in the little 8 gallon kettle. I found having two elements is nice as it lets me swap the element when I change water and reload the hopper. I like using clean stainless steel elements on each run to prevent any scorching smell.
This will easily hold up to years of daily use, well worth the investment.
