Brand new to distilling with very limited knowledge about all of it. Ordered this kit and it had everything needed to make my first batch, “besides the sugar”. Followed the directions and everything went smoothly. The actual distilling process too much longer than intended but at 3am i shut it down with 1 gallon of alcohol at 180 proof! Recommend this setup for any newbies wanted to experiment and I’m sure experts love the ease of this setup as well.
Have run over 1000 gallons of mash though mine and all I can say is this is one great unit gives me 185 proof + every time. Do yourself a big favor and buy the pump upgrade takes the headache out of water pressure changes. And I also recommend the E-Z water filter run 10 cups of hot water to flush the salts out of them make your cuts then I run it through twice gives me a nice smooth finish . Please remember if you drink and drive don’t forget your car.
well I cant thank you all enough, I got into this as a hobby, and it still is one of my hobbies, I have a 16 gallon still out side and I love it , but it was big and a lot of work cleaning and using it, so I watched the video of your turbo 500, and thought I would try it. Got to say I really like it !!!!, got it in three days and didn’t have any mash ready, that just killed me, so I rerun some spirits I had already run just so I could use it that night, wow, what a difference in the finish….. in the future I am going to be looking for a smaller unit like im thinking maybe two gallon. so that I can rerun all my spirits, over and over without dealing with a 6.5 gallon still.Im a blue coller worker so I have to save for it ,but I will need one some day,, if you all have one please email me and I will check it out, thanks again, really cant thank you enough…..
I spent a lot of time researching and going through sites… I’m absolutely happy with my purchase from this company. Mile Hi, you made it so easy and everything you need is right here… Customer service was A+ .. spent much time on the phone with no hesitation and answered my questions very honestly. This product is a no brainer.. you will absolutely be satisfied with this kit. Follow instructions every time and you can produce very high quality spirits. I suggest a carbon filtering system and use it multiple times… the more the better. I’m completely happy with my purchase. Used this still many times flawlessly… almost no thought needed… *tip* the valve to dispense cold water is very touchy… get it to about 500 ml a minute… turn off faucet…leave alone until temp gets to above 50 C… turn on faucet… very slightly turn the nozzle to keep at 60 C … takes a little patience, but once going… runs like a dream
