Copper Helmet does not fit on roll top fitting on our boilers. Will need domed lid and/or reducer to fit.
I have 13 and 26 gallon stainless steel boilers and have used the standard pot still head in the past, using copper mesh for reflux. I bought one of these copper heads and it is fantastic. It makes an enormous improvement in the product produced, and provides true reflux results, similar to larger commercial stills.
With the standard connections on top and bottom, it can be used in conjunction with a flute section and bubble plate on top and the dephlagmator, making it a “hybrid” still such as those used for craft rum production.
Excellent addition to an older still, adds great flexibility to the system. Well worth the money. The quality of this helmet is very good, substantially thicker wall than some of the similar, cheaper knock-offs available out there.
I highly recommend this product.
