A high quality 16 Gallon with 3 Inch Diameter Torpedo Pro still includes 3″ sight glass. You can use this sight glass as an infusion chamber or gin basket to hold botanicals. You can also clamp in sight glass below the reflux cold finger condenser to watch the reflux action. An awesome way to infuse the vapor to get a boost of flavor in the distillate. Run a apple brandy and add some fresh apples and cinnamon sticks to the sight glass to infuse the vapor with the taste of apple pie moonshine or add cinnamon sticks, herbs, and spices to make a spiced whiskey. Be creative and make your own infusions.
This Torpedo Pro still will produce 180 to 190 proof moonshine as a reflux still and will also run as a pot still to carry over flavor with about 120 proof
For reflux it is as easy as running water to both reflux condenser and final product condenser. Pack the column with rings and copper mesh and your running a reflux alcohol still or run as a pot still by running water to just the final product condenser on the arm and inserting one roll of copper in the tower.
16 gallon still boiler with two 2″ ports for heating element. butterfly drain valve, 2″ fill port and 1/2″ coupling for thermometer. Also includes caps, clamps, and gaskets to cap off ports and can be used with a gas burner.

First it arrived sooner than expected. I agree with another view – the thing is tall, so tall its hard to read the thermometer on top (wish I could point it down a little bit. However, the workmanship is top notch and everything fits like a glove.
I waited until I had 2 runs on it before writing this review. They were about 8 gallon runs to get the hang of it. Only using the second condenser, it started off about 75% – I have not run it in reflux mode yet.
Overall, I am very happy with the product and Mile Hi.
We received the still in an amazingly short amount of time and when we unboxed it we were stunned at the beautiful workmanship and exceptionally high quality materials! Thank you so much for the great service and product and we are very excited to use it tomorrow!
It is apparent that these guys take great pride in their work. This product is absolutely incredible. Truly expert craftsmanship, quality materials, built to last a lifetime. Moreover, their customer service is second-to-none. They are experts in their field and happily share their knowledge with ease.
I will ALWAYS pay a little extra for quality and service. Here, I found both (and didn’t really pay much extra).
This is the only still you’ll ever need. The 3″ column eliminates the endless hours of sitting with the still and the 16 gallon boiler makes for efficient runs. This still is a workhorse and not for the occasional distiller, it’s built to be used hard and will last for several lifetimes due to the quality materials and build. I purchased the copper option and it is a true classic. While it may not add anything to the flavor of the distillate, in your mind it does and that’s all that matters. Beware that to keep that classic look it’s going to take copper cleaner and elbow grease. Otherwise, it will take on the dark patina of a well used still. I’m well satisfied with this still and the service of Mile Hi Distilling, worth the price paid.
This is one quality piece. Weld look amazing. It is heavy duty for the thickness of the metal everything comes with the still. Plenty of copper mesh two bags of rings. Clamps feel good when tighten. Over I am very please with my purchase. Great company to ask questions never had to wait for a reply.
