Our new malt whiskey yeast, Distilamax MW, is an active dry yeast specializing in malt whisky using a Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain. This yeast is used in fermentations that include malted barley.

- Optimal Temp.: 68-91.4F (20-33C)
Directions for use:
To restore the dried yeast to its fully active state, the yeast must be rehydrated as fast as possible by adding the yeast to 10 times its mass of water.
The recommended dose is 1 gram of yeast per 1 liter of wash/mash at 96.8F (36C) continuous stirring. Stir for 5 minutes before adding the yeast to the fermentation unit.
Be careful not to allow the yeast to remain at 96.8°F (36°C) for too long, as this can negatively affect alcohol yields.
DistilaMax® MW should be stored in a cool, dry area for maximum stability and adequate shelf life. When stored under these conditions, the product is
stable for 36 months from the date of manufacture.
Please note that this is just dry yeast and will need a nutrient to work correctly.
