Single malt whiskey yeast, Distilamax MW, is an active dry yeast for production of single malt whisky by fermentation of wort / wash made from malted barley. This single malt whisky yeast is used in fermentations that include malted barley.

Directions for use:
To restore the dried yeast to its fully active state, the yeast needs to be rehydrated adding the yeast to 10 times its mass of water. Stir for 5 minutes then let sit for 15 minutes before adding the yeast to the fermenter. allowing yeast to sit at 96.8F (36C ) for longer then the 15 minutes rehydration period can negatively effect alcohol yields.
The recommended pitching rate is 1.5 grams of yeast per 1 gallon of wash/mash.
DistilaMax® MW should be stored in a cool, dry area for maximum stability and adequate shelf life. When stored under these conditions, the product is
stable for 36 months from the date of manufacture.
Please note that this is dry yeast only and will need a yeast nutrient if not being used with malted barley.
