Description
Moonshine Starter Kit for Making Moonshine
This starter kit is an easy cost savings way to get the tools that are needed to get started making alcohol in one easy to use kit. This moonshine starter kit has what is needed to do two complete 6.5 gallon sugar wash batches. Does not include the sugar.
This moonshine starter kit includes:
- Complete 8 gallon fermentation bucket including lid
- Airlock
- Alcoholmeter ( for testing alcohol proof and percentage coming off the still )
- Hydrometer ( Triple scale hydrometer which has specific gravity, potential alcohol, and brix reading. This is used for figuring how much alcohol was made in the fermentation process. See how to use a hydrometer )
- FH Alcohol Resistant Test Jar ( molded plastic ) this is the graduated cylinder test jar to float the alcohol meter and hydrometer.
- 1 packet of 48 Hour Turbo Yeast
- 1 packet of 24 Hour Turbo Yeast
- 2 packets of Turbo Clear clearing agent
- 2 packets of Turbo Carbon
We do not recommend using a drain spigot, as it tends to pull over unwanted yeast sediment. It is best to siphon off the top with a piece of tubing and not to disturb the bed of yeast that has settled to the bottom. Getting yeast and sediment into the still can give you off flavor. Take a look at the auto siphon. This a good easy way to siphon from the fermenter and right into the still.

The starter kit is a great kit, had everything needed, but didn’t have a stick on thermometer. They have them for, only 2.00 at the pet store. I bought two short ones. I put one at the bottom, and one in the top third.

Simply a great value for the money. First timer, made it easy to do. Highly recommend this.

I purchased a still extra copper and a starter kit which I am very pleased with. I have a 500 gallon still that I used to use but it is hid in the woods.
I much rather do a little in the garage than have to hide in the woods.
I have the eight gallon reflux still that has a electric heater and it is so easy to operate and clean, I get 160 proof whiskey which I cut it down to around 100 or eighty proof. The lasr few weeks I have been making Muscadine brandy it turns out great my friends can’t wait for it to cool it;s so goood. Thanks to Milehi distilling for supplying me with such great product

A great kit. Rather than having to a la carte the pieces. We have a larger still in the country with all the pieces, but why cart them back and forth. When I want to do a small test run at home of distilled flavored water, (with my new Mile Hi 8 gal) it is all here.
